Mother's Day Preview

These dioramas are projections of our plans for the many Mother's Day adventures we hope to take while in Lake Tahoe this July. Our dear old friend Barbie volunteered to help us get the ideas across, and even brought some of her friends along. We're certain that we'll think of many more fun activities while we're all together (we didn't include cooking seven course feasts to be devoured by the Killer B's or filming pirate movies on the high seas). Item No. 1: Riding the complimentary BICYCLES around the condos and down to the beach! Pictured with their street bike (we're leaving the dirt bikes at home this time) are Jenny (in a charming green sundress), Delaney (wearing her ever-present hair kerchief), Mom (in a smashing strapless plaid sportdress) and Casey (sporting a jaunty red wide-brimmed hat-- good for keeping the sun off those freckles!).

Item No. 2: Playing cutthroat PINOCHLE on the deck of our condo. Not pictured but on Mom and Casey's laps are a Queen of Spades and a Jack of Diamonds... Jenny's sitting a little too close to that Corona, don't we think? Where's cousin Amy when she could really show her strengths?

Item No. 3: Hanging out and watching sappy MOVIES in our underwear. Note the already abused Kleenex scattered about and the many more videos we have left in our film fest.

Item No. 4: Painting our toenails and having day of BEAUTY with Cousin Amy! Amy is wearing one of the charming nighties that were a gift for her honeymoon-- too bad Mark-o is missing out on this girls' night! (Or is he...?)

Item No. 5: Lazing about on the BEACH with our cabana boys (bring us more margaritas, Ronaldo!)! The sun is high, the water is sparkling, and Jenny has plenty of sunblock slathered on-- everything we need for a languid day by the lake.

Item No. 6: SLUMBER PARTY! We've got piles of gab-inducing books, champagne (and wine for Mom), strawberries and CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE!! What more could we ask for?

Item No. 7: Grand finale! KARAOKE out on the town. Cousin Amy makes another appearance (since she's the only one of us who can sing). Looks like Jenny (CLOSEUP here) and Casey (CLOSEUP here) found some wild stallions for the night and are dancing their bootys off!

Item No. 8: Glimpse of the FUTURE... do you think we'll ever get Brandes in this outfit? At least he gets his cool hat. Bambi here is representative of the entire rest of our family (deer in headlights...?)
